Welcome to the guy chester centre

The Guy Chester Centre is based in over 10 acres of grounds and gardens in the quiet and pleasant north London suburb of Muswell Hill. We are just 40 minutes from central London and a mile from the North Circular Road (A406).

Our work includes:

• The Halls of Residence provides excellent accommodation for 132 students and workers in London

• A training & spirituality team that runs short training courses alongside specific courses with a Methodist focus and also provides specific training for churches and other clients. It also runs Quiet days and retreats throughout the year for people to take time out to reflect

• A Conference and Retreat Centre (with space available to hire for businesses, charities and churches)

• A suite of consulting rooms for hire by local counsellors and similar professionals

• Step Forward material for small group study as a resource aimed at Methodist churches seeking support in Extending Discipleship Exploring Vocation (EDEV).

• Mission Shaped Ministry: The Guy Chester Centre, in association with north London churches and Fresh Expressions, will shortly be running a MSM course.

Accommodation from April is available

• Standard single rooms from £147.34 per week 

• Single en-suite rooms from £205.30 per week

• Twin rooms from £117.85 per person per week

  • Half board during the week, full board at the weekend, all bills, bed linen & weekly room clean included

  • Facilities such as gym, lounge, TV rooms, music & dance studio, laundry, tennis court & playing fields...   

Summer 2012 (1st June - 31st August)

During the first four weeks of accommodation the following fees apply:

• Standard single rooms from £192.44 per week 

• Single en-suite rooms from £281.15 per week

• Twin en-suite rooms from £228.30 per person per week

• Standard twin rooms from £157.33 per person per week 

  • After the first four week the fees are reduced

  • Half board during the week, full board at the weekend, all bills, bed linen & weekly room clean included

Priority during this period will go to those in the categories below:

• Full time students who will be attending college in London during this period

• Workers starting a new job or internship in London

• Volunteers and those doing paid work in London during the Olympics

  • Aged between 17 and 25
  • Some exceptions are made for postgraduates and those wishing en-suite accommodation

New Academic Year: September 2012 onwards

• Standard single rooms from £156.58 per week

• Single en-suite rooms from £217.66 per week

• Twin rooms from £125.00 per person per week

  • Half board during the week, full board at the weekend, all bills, bed linen & weekly room clean included

  • Facilities such as gym, lounge, TV rooms, music & dance studio, laundry, tennis court & playing fields...

  • A 30 week academic year will cost just under... £4820 in a Standard room, £6800 in an En-suite room and £3860 per person in a Twin room (clear your room at Christmas and Easter and there is no charge)
